Beauty Salons?

How do you feel about the on boardbeauty salons - good value or too steep.

I have wash and wear hair, but DD wants to know!

Expensive but hey, you are on a cruise. If I spend 75 bucks on my hair and he goes and spends 100 bucks on t-shirts and hats we're both happy. I may do it again or not...

I remember one time when both Marcy and I went to the beauty shop literally hours before our plane left. Marcy was absolutely mortified and horrified about how her hair color and cut turned out. Almost to the point of not wanting to cruise.

Our first order of business on the ship was a stop at their beauty salon. Every dollar that was spent undoing what she had was so worth it. She was happy and playful the entire vacation.

Depending on the cruise and how well we do in the casino, I like to have an "updo" for formal night. It is something that I don't do at home as I, too, am a wash and wear person. So being pampered at least once is worth it to me.
