MrsAmanda7
On the morning of July 25, the Sapphire Princess was docking in Vancouver when a dead whale was found on the bulbous bow section of the ship. This is the part of the ship that cuts through the water. This was a shocking and sad discovery as the Sapphire Princess did not report seeing any whales on their voyage. Had whales been seen, the avoidance procedures of natural wildlife would have taken place. This includes altering course and reducing speed. The Canadian Coast Guard and Department of Fisheries and Oceans have been notified and Princess is cooperating to the fullest extent. DebbieandJerry
How awful, for the whale, the cruisers, the crew, the captain and Princess.

MrsAmanda7
Jason- thanks for the video- (I think). It kind of made me a little sick. This is truly awful. Poor whale. What a horrible experience for the captain, crew, and passengers. It makes me wonder if something of this nature has ever happened before. coloradocruisers
Amanda, there was a similar article in the news earlier this year, or perhaps last year.
