I had heard that carnival is planing to start crusis on the great lakes (lake michigan, lake supiorer) has any one else heard of this.

Haven't heard a thing about it. They just cancelled calls in the Province of Quebec because of the economy and are keeping the ship doing coastal Canada New England. They'd have a hard time getting anything big enough in there.

the great lakes are more than larg enough to get a cruis ship in if 1000 ft freighters can go through a cruis ship should be able. I seen a picture of a small cruis ship docked in Dulth MN.

there is a new set of locks being built on the St Marys between lake mi and lake superior in Sault Ste. Marie MI maybe that is the thought for up north but I don't know if that would make a difference again just going on the rummor mill here in MI. I would like to see it there are plenty of ports
