JohnG
I had heard that carnival is planing to start crusis on the great lakes (lake michigan, lake supiorer) has any one else heard of this. Haven't heard a thing about it. They just cancelled calls in the Province of Quebec because of the economy and are keeping the ship doing coastal Canada New England. They'd have a hard time getting anything big enough in there.

DebbieandJerry
I'd be interested in seeing if they do sail the great lakes.
MrsAmanda7
Lake Michigan would be very convenient for me. I always say that I wouldn't switch cruise lines, but if it's nearby, that's a different story.

I seen a picture of a small cruis ship docked in Dulth MN.
JohnG
Its not the length, it is the width that is the issue getting a cruise ship in.
DebbieandJerry
Still would be interested in seeing if this happens.
desandman
there is a new set of locks being built on the St Marys between lake mi and lake superior in Sault Ste. Marie MI maybe that is the thought for up north but I don't know if that would make a difference again just going on the rummor mill here in MI. I would like to see it there are plenty of ports
