murr
It was just posted on John Heald's blog that Carnival is reinstating the past guest pins for Platinum members only. A Platinum member is one with 10 or more cruises. The pins are usually given out at the Past Guest Party. The pins that are shaped like the smoke stack and have the name of the ship on it, can be purchased at the gift shop, no price has been given. DebbieandJerry
So I'm guessing that we'll get our pins November 2010. Guess I'll put them where I put all the others that we have!

DebbieandJerry
Some are in a scrapbook; some are in the woven basket with all of the other truly wonderful ship free-bees that we have accumulated (playing cards, dice)

murr
This subject has been back and forth on most of the Web sites that deal with cruising. There are positive and negative responses all over. Believe it or not, most of them are discarded on the ship. Housekeeping reports finding them in waste baskets. The carnival blog has been going through this for sometime. I am one of the people who loves this pin as is my wife. We scrapbook every trip and the pin is in every book. How much could it possibly cost? And when it is sold in the gift shop(no $ amount has been announced) how much could they possibly charge. I do hear they are thinking about something else for past guests, What could be less expensive than a pin??????????
