boba
If your into the spa treatments, I think I heard that they run specials on port days to drum up business while eveyones off the ship.
Ellie
Leigh Ann - Being on your honeymoon, I would think you two would enjoy staying on the ship, having a lot of private quiet time ( ) and doing whatever you like whenever you like. Now that's freedom! If you find someplace interesting during the cruise, by all means, venture out. But Mary is right...it's best to let the impatient ones get off first, then it's not so crowded and definitely moves along more quickly. Don't forget to take time for a nap and then you get dressed for dinner, mingle, enjoy the nightlife (dancing, drinking, casino....) and have fun. I can tell you it will be a memorable honeymoon and you will love it....and become an addict like the rest of us. Happy Honeymoon! Happy Cruising! I can tell you it will be a memorable honeymoon and you will love it....and become an addict like the rest of us. Happy Honeymoon! Happy Cruising! Thank you all for the help! We are so incredibly excited. Nine days of peace and quiet is what we are looking for. I have an 8 year old son who keep me and his soon to be stepdad very busy. We never ever get anytime to ourselves so this will be nice to get away. We booked Atlantis in Nassau and the Junkanoo Beach Party in Freeport. Never having cruised before, we decided to book Carnival's excursions only since we don't know the islands. We also decided to book a balcony. We first started off booking an interior, then an ocean view then we just said what the hey, let's get a balcony! I'm excited to be able to just sit and relax and watch the sunset or the sky in the morning.... Right now we are soo stressed by our wedding (too many people making things miserable) that the only good part is leaving for our honeymoon!!!! KeithnRita
Right now we are soo stressed by our wedding (too many people making things miserable) that the only good part is leaving for our honeymoon!!!! You should not be stressed for your wedding! Period! I was a widower and Rita was a divorcee when we decided to marry. I had friends and relatives and she had friends and relatives. Just to many to invite to a small wedding without hurting any feelings. It was not like this was our first go around, so we just took off to Vegas (by ourselves) and got married at Treasure Island in their wedding chapel. Two months afterwards we had a reception that helped introduce each of us to the others friends and relatives. Four months later we took our first cruise! Good luck to you and have a great wedding and cruise!
coloradocruisers
I was questioning it since Port Canaveral is a frequent embarkation/debarkation port...I've rarely seen it as just a port stop...It's really not that exciting a port stop...it's just a US town...I guess some would get off to see the Space Center...but that is not worth 12 hours... Canaveral National Seashore is also close by, which has a really nice beach. Not sure how much fun it is in November though...
murr
Leigh Ann, Since this is your first ever cruise, you picked the BEST ship in the fleet. As we write this the Ship isn't even in service yet. The Dream will have the latest up to date things in cruising. Go on Carnival.com and check out the press release on the ship. I hope to someday sail on her. You will have a blast of a honeymoon. When you return, you must post here and fill is in on your experience.
