Atlastis Hotel & Casino

Is there a way to go directly from your ship to the Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas? I know that Jason has been there, since I saw his pictures. The last time I was there I didn't get too much of the place. This time I will perhaps like to spend the whole there for picture and enjoying the ammenities of the resort. If anyone has info as to the best way to transfer there from a cruise, being an excursion, a watertaxi, or whaever. I would appreciate input from folks that have visited there. Since my next cruise will be taking me there I would like to make more of the time allowed there. :cool2:

We've gong there by water taxi each time and that's how we plan to get there November 2010. It's not that hard and it's not that far. The first time, we didn't spend the money to take the aquarium tour. But we did the second time. Worth it once! Will not pay for it again.

Jerry loves to gamble at the Atlantis. So we will most probably drop him off and then go to the straw market. I love the straw market and never get enough time there. If I give Jerry time perimeters, then he is pretty good about adhering to them.

The hotel is very expensive so I doubt we will eat there this time.

Thats what I've heard too. The prices are as high as what you see in Tahiti.

Wow, that's incredible. The Atlantis is a beautiful resort, but honestly, it doesn't appeal to me! I cannot, for the life of me, fathom why people spend so much money for a room that they hardly use. But, it has brought work and money in to an area that needs it. Most of the Bahamas are dirt poor!
