Gregswife
http://johnhealdsblog.com/2009/09/29/a-web-of-fear/ I provided the link to John Heald's blog that addressed this, but am also copying the part that I was referring to so you don't have to wade thru the whole blog: Time for today’s news and it is news about the life boat drill. Well, actually it’s not called that anymore because starting next week the fleet will be calling guests to the Safety Briefing. There are some wording differences in the announcement the cruise directors make which will also include not just information on the abandon ship procedures but also other ways to keep our guests safe such as accident prevention. The other major change this coming month across the fleet is that guests will no longer need to wear their life jackets or take them to the muster stations. You will still be shown the correct and proper way to wear them but there is no longer any need to go to the cabins to collect them anymore. I will let you know how this is received next cruise. coloradocruisers
Now Cheryl, you're planning to actually attend the Safety Briefing, right? 'Cuz we all want you to come home safely.
Gregswife
Kevin, we do "duck out" when we can, but since this is Jessica's first cruise, we will all be attending.
