Jason
Hundreds turn out to welcome one of the world's largest cruise ships After years of planning, months of anticipation and a two-week journey across the Atlantic, there's a new cruise ship docked at Port Everglades, and it's bigger than all the others in the world. Longboysfan
Jason: Are you going to be able to get onto the ship to give it a look see during the time it is docked?

DebbieandJerry
She's a beautiful ship. However, I have no desire to sail on her. Am I weird?
hazelson
5,400 hundred passengers plus staff - that's a small town!
murr
It took 4 hours to load 3500 people on the Carnival Dream this past weekend, at a steady rate of people per hour, and many were complaining. So how long is it going to take to load and unload 5400 people? You have to embark at 6 am??
sierraguy
I was standing on the deck of the Statendam when the Oasis sailed into Port Everglades. Quite a sight. And what a great flourish to the conclusion of our Panama Canal cruise. The Statendam had tied up about an hour earlier, but we weren't scheduled to disembark until after the Oasis had sailed in surrounded by helicopters and several boats spraying water. Felt like we were a little part of history. Quite an investment Royal Caribbean is making -- $3 Billion for the Oasis and its sister ship the Allure of the Seas coming next year. Adding all this capacity in the economic downturn is certain to create a buyer's market for cruises. Great time to be retired and able to take advantage.
