lindasuelucas
I was standing on the deck of the Statendam when the Oasis sailed into Port Everglades. Quite a sight. And what a great flourish to the conclusion of our Panama Canal cruise. The Statendam had tied up about an hour earlier, but we weren't scheduled to disembark until after the Oasis had sailed in surrounded by helicopters and several boats spraying water. Felt like we were a little part of history. Quite an investment Royal Caribbean is making -- $3 Billion for the Oasis and its sister ship the Allure of the Seas coming next year. Adding all this capacity in the economic downturn is certain to create a buyer's market for cruises. Great time to be retired and able to take advantage. i like the way you think! you had a front row seat for this part of history. wish i'd been there myself.
