In the case my hsub and I chose room service, has anyone got a copy of th eroom service menu they took home, or took pictures, etc. that can be sent to me? I've tried searhing images in yahoo and Google, but the photos posted are so far away r out of focus, you can't read them. Any help is greatly appreciated. stella2626
Check out this link. You will have to scroll down in the page but there is a room service menu. http://zydecocruiser.com/free07/menu2.htm
Brandee1013
Thanks so much--- some of the menus I'd looked at for other Carnivals were charging for room service, and I was under the impression (of the catalgos and other cruise books I read) that room service was free- other than sodas and alcohol
DebbieandJerry
We've never paid for room service. The only thing that I heard was RCL not offering 24 hr room service (1 or 2am cut off). Room service has a very limited menu. And it doesn't vary. Lots of mornings, I would go up to the lido deck, get our food and bring it to our stateroom to eat. This way we'd have a leisure breakfast before we went to the dining room for real breakfast. lindasuelucas
i traveled with carnival and enjoyed "room service". the staff was wonderful and the food was warm and tasty. you should however, tip the person who brings you trays. so i say go for it! Wendie
I rely heavily on room service. However, I have never paid for it; it's part of the service. On the cruises I've been on, tipping was not part of the trip. That was done at the end and was split among the servers.
DebbieandJerry
Room service brought me an "extra" dinner each night on our last 14 day cruise because I cannot eat any breakfast foods. If I was able to catch the person bringing the food, I always gave him the tip money in person. I agree that the tipping is "supposed" to be split among the servers. I just don't know if room service is included in that.
Wendie
Maybe it's different for various cruises and ships? I don't know, but that's what I was told going into those cruises. In fact, the staff was not supposed to accept the tips, if offered, though I'm sure they did.
downtime
Someone has misinformed you. The staff is not only allowed to accept tips but welcome them. The tip Carnival adds to your S&S account is minimal at best. We always tip the room service person with each delivery just as we would do in a hotel. Aside from the tips Carnival adds, we tip extra in cash to the room steward, his assitant, the bar servers, the supper club waitstaff and the Maitre 'D. They work very hard and long hours, they deserve every penny. Edited May 9, 2011 by downtime
