ballroomdancer
We have a stop in Puerto Rico and I was wondering if there are economical and safe tour options at the pier. It is a daytime stop from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We have never been to Puerto Rico before and would like to see the area. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Also some ports you can see quite a bit by walking around the pier area. Is that the case in Puerto Rico? Any other suggestions for a first visit to Puerto rico would be appreciated. Just take the free ferry service to their factory across the harbor. there is a $3 charge for a cab to the factory. But you get 2 free drinks..... DebbieandJerry
Second time we were there we hired a cab and had him drive us around. We stopped at lots of different places and were able to take our time. I know we split the cost of the cab with 2 other families, but it truly wasn't that much money. Then he dropped us off downtown where we walked around the various stores and restaurants. He picked us up at the prearranged time and took us back to the ship. We'll be there in November. So if you come up with something fun, exotic or out of the ordinary, speak up.
