"I have never sailed from Ft. Lauderdale either but will in November."

MaryLou, we're thinking of staying in Ft Lauderdale before we leave as well. We arrive 11/5 and sail 11/7. I know that your cruise (2nd one, right) is around then.

Have you made your hotel plans? If so, where? Perhaps we can finally meet.

Debbie - we changed our Princess cruise to the first part of our B2B instead of the second and will be sailing on October 31st now from Ft. Lauderdale. We booked a room for 2 nights pre-cruise at the above mentioned Comfort Inn. It was highly recommended by someone I met on another roll call who stays there often. We shall see.

We arrive back in Ft. Lauderdale on Nov. 7th and then travel down to Tampa for part 2 of our B2B. Let's see if we can work something out although we won't have a lot of time before getting on the road. We are meeting Martha & Lee on Sunday afternoon in Tampa and I believe it is at least a 4 hour drive.

Thanks Marylou for the idea..looks like my best bet budget wise..

Tim we are sailing on the Miracle and doing the Southern route.

I'm a little nervous as I keep reading reviews for this ship and itinerary not so great reviews. So decided to stop reading them as a ship and itinerary has to be really terrible for me to not like to be on a Cruise to anywhere.

I'm a little nervous as I keep reading reviews for this ship and itinerary not so great reviews. So decided to stop reading them as a ship and itinerary has to be really terrible for me to not like to be on a Cruise to anywhere.

I don't know about the Miracle but I do know that our cruising w/ CCL, albeit limited, has been fine AND I think the so. Caribbean rte. is fantastic. Have a great time. BTW I can recommend excellent, private tour guides who are very reasonable in price for St. Lucia, St. Maarten and Antigua if you are porting there. :thumbup:

BTW I can recommend excellent, private tour guides who are very reasonable in price for St. Lucia, St. Maarten and Antigua if you are porting there. :thumbup:

Congrats on your booking! We always stay in Fort Lauderdale the night before a cruise. We also need to find one where we can leave our car while we're sailing. The Hampton Inn met our needs and had transportation to the port (I believe they were located on SE 12th St. - something like that). Clean, pleasant and continental breakfast in AM. We've heard the Holiday Inn Express across the street was also a good deal. Check them out also but can't remember the name of the street (Hampton Inn is off the main road). Others we checked out were more expensive. Good luck and don't take all reviews to heart...many people like to brag, while others like to complain. You're right....it is what you make it!

Would love some ideas only found one ATV Tour dh would love that but so far thats all I have found so recommend away PLEASE :biggrin:
