Longboysfan
Tom, you have a very distinct style of writing that took me from one end of the ship to the other. Until I got to the last paragraph, I was shocked when you said this was your worst Celebrity cruise ever. I try to cover everything on the cruise - the complete ship / all services / Ship condition / food / what the ports are / what I did in all areas. I try to put in every positive think that i saw or did on the trip. I would say the incident on the front desk with being verbally ping ponged by officers - who should know better - as the killer. Usually the food is like 98 out of 100. This time food was about 70 of 100. Service was 99 out of 100. The problem being was I had see the one offices about twice before - leaving ship. And they had a bomb scare on the ship - well handled by ship. So I went down and dropped off a large amount of candy to same officer for security to show how much I appreciated their hard work. Then later to be treated like that by the same person..... Back breaker. Then anytime he walked past me on ship - dirty looks or I am better than you buddy.... I don't need that. I never and I mean NEVER try to create any extra work for anoyne on the ship and always try to bring something special to my trip each time. The Kite I left with the kids counslers along with some burger king crowns (I always try to bring this along). I also left them some candy as they have a very hard schedule on ship. Week to week kids non stop for most of the time. I have had just about a 98% approval rating for every other Celebrity cruise I have been on. This would be about 72% or lower. DebbieandJerry
I like the idea of "Halloween candy". We usually bring trinkettes and stuff that comes from the SW (desert stuff) Candy would be much cheaper and goes a long way.
sailingrose
Just remember chocolate melts Debbie. I bring candy often on many of RCI's ships.

DebbieandJerry
What a chocolate melts? Jerry and I usually leave the unconsumed nuts, candy and soda that we have purchased in our stateroom for the attendant. Guess we never thought about all of the other staff and crew. I truly love the idea. I remmeber being in the ABC Store in Maui in March. They had this "for every $50 that you spend you get xxx free." I had a boatload of receipts that I had no intention of "cashing in". Lo and behold a crew member from Celebrity was at the counter trying to figure out (in Spanish) what he could buy and what he could get for free. I stepped up, offered him my receipts so that he could get more stuff and then tried to translate (as best as I could). He was so appreciative. What I didn't know was that his wife was to the left of me, she had flown to Maui to surprise him. He was buying all this stuff to send to her. It was such a neat moment. The store was so thrilled that they even threw in more "truly amazing stuff".
