So how does everyone feel about these options.

I like the look of the 1st one. 9 nights is a nice amount of time on a cruise. There are several ports that we've never been to before. The price looks good also. I, personally, would rather sail from Bayonne than Boston. Bayonne is an easy drive for us (45-60 minutes). Baltimore would be nice also, but the extra cost would probably no be worth it.

Howard - I agree with you. Why the cruises from Baltimore are more expensive is beyond me. It's a nice place for a pre/post cruise stay but not for that price difference.

The port charges in Baltimore raise the prices. Also, people in that afluent market are willing to pay more, so they can charge more!

The NCL Jewel out of NYC is still the most attractive for us.

I like the 9 nighter out of NJ also....a nice length for a cruise. The prices are good too!

I like the Explorer cruise too, a lot will depend on the dates for me.

Marylou I'm going to call Princess and see if I can get them to tell us when they will post.

I like that 9 niter also but we will wait and see what Princess has to offer and then put it to a vote. I called them but got no answer as to when we could expect the Itineraries to come out.

I called Princess and was told the itineraries are due out by the end of the month.

Aren't we waiting on Carnival too?

Yes, we are waiting on Carnival also. I'll have to give them a call. Looking at Princess for this year they only have a couple of 7 days cruises from NY. The 10 day ones are 1 way either NY to Quebec or the other way around. I'm glad you got an answer from them - the girl I spoke to was clueless.
