I'm so sorry your cruise was so bad. It sounds like they did not leave the ship in drydock long enough to complete all the renovations and it should not have been allowed to sail.

I hope you have expressed your dissatisfaction to Holland-America about all the negatives of this trip and hope you get some satisfaction from them.

Angel, it sounds like the ship was not ready to resume service. We sailed to Alaska on her in 2001 and had a great cruise and no problems with the ship.

We think HAL owes you and the other guests an apology and at the very least a big credit towards a replacement cruise.

As far as no life jackets necessary at the mandatory drill, the parent company Carnival, now does the same.
