OK - lets start from the beginning. Who has been to Portland, Maine before and what are some "don't miss" things to see?

MaryLou - We have been to Portland and honestly, the only thing that stands out in my mind is the Portland Head Lighthouse. It's supposed to be the most photographed lighthouse.

There are also some very scenic drives near there along the coast.

Thanks Debbie - I do remember there is a quaint little town right by the dock. We took a ship's bus tour of the Island but noting stands out in my mind as "must go back there again." We did see former President Bush's home but they didn't invite us in for a clambake so nothing memorable there. lol

Yes, Kennebunkport is nearby (Bushes' home) and it is very scenic and I think Freeport, ME is close too - the home of LL Bean....

I've been to Portland, Or. is that the same?

The only Portland we've been to is in Tennessee! We've never been to the states of Maine or Mass.
