Maybe this question was answered before..... What is the deal with the My Time Dining? Do we have to make a reservation every night or can we make one standing reservaton for all 9 nights?

We can do it either way Debbie. If we want to eat at the same time each night we can just make the reservations all at once. I will coordinate the dining times once we get the shore excursions worked out. The trick will be to get us all seated together and I think the best way to do that is to let Rose & I make the reservations for everyone but I will talk to RC and see the best way to proceed.

That sounds great. I hope we can all sit together. I kind of figured that you'd have to make the reservations as a group, not individually. Thanks

Here is the tour I posted on the Halifax threat. Please think about it and let me know. This would be a private tour in a 15 passenger van.

Our rate for the Peggy`s Cove/Halifax City tour is $54 per person and the duration of tour is 4.5hrs. W will tour The Point Pleasant Park, The Public Gardens, The Citadel Fortress, The Titanic Cemetery and many more in Halifax.

We will tour Peggy`s Cove and area and stop for lunch at a little quint fishing village(not Peggy`s Cove, too touristy).

Please feel free to compare our rates with that of the cruise ship`s. We focus mainly on you our client.

Thank you again for the mail and I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours truly.

THOUGHTS PLEASE! If you are interested I will put a hold on the date

I did some research this afternoon and if the web sites are correct we will be the only ship in port in Portland - Bar Harbor and Saint John. In Halifax we will be in port with the Norwegian Jewel. Our busiest port will be Boston, Mass. where we will be joined by the Carnival Glory and the Queen Elizabeth 2. Could make for a crowded day in port there.

Good Morning Everyone! Mary Lou: The Q E 2, in Boston? That will make a great photo op for of Us who have never seen her before. I only hope that She is docked close to our ship, Since photography on the port area is frowned upon, Usually. Boston happens to be my favorite stop of the cruise. That will be my 3rd time that we visit there this year. I always try to go to take in a game in at Fenway at least once a year. ( Go Soxs  ! )

Hector - yes. tje QE2 is on the schedule and I know it does do a couple of Canada/New England cruises every year. Perhaps you will be able to get some pictures from our ship. Do you have any suggestions on what we should do in Boston. There is so much to see and do there. Any help would be appreciated.

Mary Lou : in Boston in my opinion, the best bang for the buck is the trolley tours, There are several of them to choose from and one can get on and off as many times as one likes to visit particular sites, or one can just stay on for the entire tour. Also there is the Boston Duck Tour ( very popular) so sometimes tickets are hard to come by, but if one can get on one of those tours, they are a blast..... If one likes baseball there are tours of Fenway Park everyday for around $ 12.00. For those that prefer adult beverages & munchies there are an array of Pubs, Restaurants & and yes Mc Donalds for those who like fast food. Boston offers many different choices of things to see and do, for every taste. I hope I was helpful, any further assistance about Boston please don't hesitate to ask. If I don't have an answer for it, I will research it and pass it on.:cool2:

I was leaning in the direction of the trolley tour also Hector. I will dig up all the information and post it as soon as we get Halifax straightened out. I would like to get Boston confirmed since there will be 2 other ships in port with us and tours could book up quickly.

Hi Mary Lou; My wife & I are very familiar with Boston since we've been there noumerous times. We get all around the city on the T their public transportation system. That is how we have become familiar with all of the things that city has to offer, and it is quite a lot. The last time we were there last year we did the trolley tour, and I got off several times for pictures. Just let me know if I can be of further assistance.
