cruisetarp
I know it's early to be thinking of hotels, I'm just trying to keep this thread active so others might see it and decide to join us. :)
deb1220
MaryLou, we will be arriving the day before....so we will need a hotel room. It's an 11 to 12 hour drive for us. We may even take 2 days to get there. I'll be doing a little research for hotels on my end but if you're going there to check them out, that's better than checking online. I really appreciate that! rogue
I'm sure that we will have a pre-cruise dinner in the Bayonne area. I hope that other Crazies that are not going on the cruise will join us as well. It was really great meeting Jason, Cheryl, and Wayne in Miami before Connie Goes Crazie. deb1220
I know I am still telling Zack stories about the Connie cruise. What a fabulous time we all had.....at least what I remember of it...LOL It would be great to have an even larger group go on the Crazie Explorers cruise. That would be great to have a cruise eve dinner and meet up with some Crazies that live in the area. Gosh, I wish it weren't so far away....but then I really don't want to rush time. cruisetarp
It is very far away Debbie but if you remember from the Connie cruise - that one we booked 19 months out but once we got down to serious planning, the time went pretty fast. I imagine that will happen with THE CRAZIE EXPLORERS as well since the ports are so new to most of us and will take a lot of work planning and researching. I guess the next order of business would be to design some sort of logo to use on shirts or pins or whatever we decide on. Who is artistic in the group? All suggestions would be greatly appreciated. cruisetarp
Howard - we have a couple of favorite restaurants in the Bayonne area and Hector has one in Newark in mind so a pre-cruise dinner is a definately possibility.
cruisetarp
Again, I know this is very early, but for anyone looking into airfares, the cruise terminal is only about 15 minutes from Newark Airport. Flying into JFK or LaGuardia will entail a rather expensive cab ride into NJ as you not only will pay a metered fee but some expensive tolls in addition to the meter
cruisetarp
We just decided we would miss our Aft and switched cabins. Managed to get a corner aft on deck 10 so we are very happy Cruisetarp - MaryLou & Jim - 1388 - Early Seating (will probably change to My Time) Sailingrose - Rose & Howie-9392 Late Seating (may change to My Time Dining) Rogue - Howard & Cindy- Cabin 9692- Late Seating (may change to My Time Dining) Deb1220 - Debbie & Zack - 7612 - Early Seating(may change to My Time Dining) Sailinglisa - Lisa - 8611 - Late Seating (may change to MTD) Dino1Pa - Hector & Maureen - 8597 - MisterEllie - Martin & Carsten - 1268 - My Time dining
