sailinglisa
I never used that service but did use one with Delta Airlines on the Connie Cruise. For $20 per bag (I think) they picked up the bags on the last night of the cruise, as usual, and took them to the airport. You didn't see them until you got home. I shipped 4 bags, none of them made our flight home. 3 of the bags came in on a later flight and Delta delivered them to my house. The 4th they gave to a retired gentleman who was driving to western Kansas. The bag was then flown to Denver and then to Kansas City. I got it the next night. Needless to say I was not to impressed but then again it was Delta!DELTADon't Expect Luggage To Arrive I used the luggage concierge service on Royal Caribbean after my Freedom cruise last September. Paid the $20 fee and didn't see my luggage from the time I put it out on the last night til I got off the plane in Milwaukee. In fact, my luggage was the first out at baggage claim. I was very happy not to have to schlep the stuff from the terminal to the transportation area. So nice just to have my healthy back bag! 1shipshape
Kevin, they were talking about doing this on one of our local radio stations a few days ago. They were saying to use FEDEX to ship to your hotel and it is cheaper than paying the airlines. Also, I heard that the airlines made $770 Million during the 1st qtr. this year by charging those fees.... there outta be a law
