1shipshape
Any recommendations as to HAL Alaska cruise tours? The options are so great it is difficult to narrow it down. We have already done the Seward to Vancouver one year, just the 7 day cruise, but this time we want to go to Denali and Fairbanks, so we want to combine the land and sea. Would like to do double Denali probably. Which month do you think they have the best weather? I've been watching it this year and it seems they have had a lot of rain. No clear times yet. We went at the end of August last time and only had one day of rain... Ketchikan, where it rains 360 days a year. It was lovely!

If you get to Skagway or Haines don't miss the train ride up (and down) the mountain in Skagway. Dw's favorite was a helicopter trip (about 1 hour) in Juneau. We flew out to a glacier, landed, walked about a bit, drank glacier ice water that had been there a million years and saw some fabulous scenery along the way.
