Safety Muster

 This is only my second cruise.  I read recently that Carnival no longer requires you to have you life jacket with you for the lifeboat/safety muster.

Is this true?

Just wondering if anyone knows.

It is true! Our last cruise was on the Carnival Fantasy and was the first time we did not have to have our life jackets at the muster drill. What we understand is all cruise lines are now doing the same.

We recently cruised on the Elation and the Fascination and neither required us to bring our life jackets.Hurray!

True on NCL as well as Carnival. Thank goodness - no straps to trip over, no one blowing their wistle in your ear, no extra trip to the room - woohoo.

I love it, so no more rush back to the cabin....hooray! My cruise is in 70 days - I'm not cooking a turkey this year...I will have my dinner served to me by my very attentive waiter. CAN'T WAIT
