kcl57
Oh, and good idea about the salty snacks, I'm a pretzel and cool ranch doritos fanatic!!
DebbieandJerry
We were on a Carnival ship November 2007 over thanksgiving. It was really special to spend a holiday on a ship. Our ship had the "last American dinner" for the Thanksgiving meal. It was a fixed menu of turkey and ALL the fixings. They did say that if you wanted something else, you could have it. The meal truly was delicious and the desserts were to die for (typical Carnival style with music, dancing, decorations, etc.) We got home on a Saturday and had "our dinner" that Sunday. Jerry just loves peanuts: Spanish nuts, cashews, almonds, mixed. Next is potato chips and/or fritos. So I'm always packing little snacky things for him. He "yells" at me and says why did you pack this. But they are always GONE by the time the cruise is over. Whatever isn't gone we leave for the room steward. We've tried buying the snacks at the various ports. They are either ridiculous in price, or "not the brand that he likes". Like I said, we make that "last minute run" once we get to our embarkation place. Makes the luggage much lighter that way We also were on an NCL in Hawaii about 7 days before Xmas. That was something else. The entire ship was decorated.
kcl57
My hubby was hoping that Thanksgiving would be our formal night, but I don't think it will be. But he is a turkey lover. Me? I'm hoping for a steak!!

DebbieandJerry
I'm almost certain that there will be a steak option (it always is on the bottom of every menu). As for formal night, depends what day of the week within your cruise. Our dinner was the last night so there was no way for it to be formal
