m8zenblue
Hi All, I am preparing for my first ever cruise, there are a lot of things I still don't understand and when I ask others who have been on cruises they speak to me in "CruiseSpeak", sorry, I only understand and speak English. Tentavively, we are planning on a 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean out of Port Canaveral in December 2011, with syops in CocoCay Bahamas, Charlotte Amalie, St.Thomas and Philipsburg, St.Maarten. I would appreciate all the information on do's, don'ts, cruise line, anything will be of help. Thanx
sailingrose
Welcome aboard M8zenblue! Glad you joined us. I am assuming from your post and your ports that you are sailing on Freedom of the Seas. I just did a review and posted pictures for that ship last month. On the blue line at the top of the page look for reviews and photos and look for the ship and my name. Sailingrose. What kind of things do you specifically want to know? Ship? Ports? Procedures? I will be happy to help you in any way I can. I cruise mostly with Royal Caribbean so I should be able to be more specific. There are lots of other who will also be happy to help. Again welcome aboard!
KeithnRita
Our next cruise is the Freedom of the Seas out of PC and it's the exact itinerary as yours. You have plenty of time to get all the answers you need, and you've come to the right place. As Rose mentioned just give us a little more info and we will get you those answers. CruiseCrazies has a terrific packing list that will be of great help to you. Just click 'Packing' on the dark blue bar at the top of the page. DebbieandJerry
Welcome aboard from an Ohio State Alum and Penn State Alum (yes I do bleed blue and white!) Cruising is our preferred vacation. After our first one, we were hooked and knew that that was what we wanted to do. We love the Caribbean. We have been to all of your ports and return to them as often as possible. There is so much to do on and off the ship. If you give us an idea of what you want (water sports, sightseeing, shopping, museums, food, drink, etc) I know that all of us can give you assistance. We can all help you in terms of "how not to overpack" but it truly comes from trial and error to realize that you only need a bare minimum of outfits! Please keep in touch and we all will help you. I believe that you came to the right site!
