m8zenblue
Hi All, I originally posted this in another forum, I think I have found the coorect location. I am preparing for my first ever cruise, there are a lot of things I still don't understand and when I ask others who have been on cruises they speak to me in "CruiseSpeak", sorry, I only understand and speak English. Tentavively, we are planning on a 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean out of Port Canaveral in December 2011, with syops in CocoCay Bahamas, Charlotte Amalie, St.Thomas and Philipsburg, St.Maarten. I would appreciate all the information on do's, don'ts, cruise line, anything will be of help. Thanx
cruisetarp
Welcome to Cruise Crazies - I hope you will post often and find the information you are looking for. What ship are you sailing on? What type of things do you enjoy doing? Are you adventurous or are you a "give me a book and let me relax" type. If you give us some idea of what you like we might be able to help you. A lot of us here love Royal Caribbean and I have been to all the ports you will be visiting. coloradocruisers
DO schedule time in the day to relax...at the pool, on the deck, in the spa, or wherever you like to be. DON'T waste your money in the specialty restaurants. You'll find the main dining room just as good without the extra cost.
sailingrose
Welcome aboard M8zenblue! Glad you joined us. I am assuming from your post and your ports that you are sailing on Freedom of the Seas. I just did a review and posted pictures for that ship last month. On the blue line at the top of the page look for reviews and photos and look for the ship and my name. Sailingrose. What kind of things do you specifically want to know? Ship? Ports? Procedures? I will be happy to help you in any way I can. I cruise mostly with Royal Caribbean so I should be able to be more specific. There are lots of other who will also be happy to help. Again welcome aboard! (I moved this from the other thread)
DebbieandJerry
I responded on your other thread but I will repeat the important stuff: We love all the ports that you are visiting and try to visit them every time we cruise. With that being said, if you could give me an idea of what you like to do, what drew you to cruising in the first place, I might be able to help you
hazelson
Another suggestion - take the cruise ship excursions on your first cruise - less stress that way - and Welcome!!!
