wow Larry great pics and great job getting them online. Really brought back some memories of Hong Kong. Did you stay in the city of Hong Kong. what a fabulous trip. thanks for sharing your pics.

Actually the two places most folks stay are either Hong Kong island which is where we stayed or across the harbor in an area called Kowloon. Even if you are on HKI the transit system is so good that getting around is very easy, cheap and fast. Hong Kong is an entity by itself and though its officially a part of China its separate politically. Its called HK SAR (I think) meaning Special Administrative Region. As a tour guide put it so well China is communist while HK is democratic.

Its very clean, a bit crowded but people are not pushy and you get around rather easily. I wish we would have stayed more than 4 days. 6 or 7 would have been better.
