Very commendable of them. Jerry and I were talking about this "mishap" last night and wondered why the captain even ventured toward the port in the first place.

Just reading from the article it sounds like the Captain relied to much on what turned out to be a bogus weather forecast.

I can't imagine how terrifying that must have been. How did they fix those broken glass elevators without downtime is what I want to know ...

They had the one elevator taped off. 150 repair men got on the ship when we got to Malta. They worked round the clock and some of them stayed on the ship to do more repairs until Spain. The crew was terrific. They were so helpful and worked their butts off. I already have my full refund credited back to my credit card. We had a great trip, really just a few days of rough seas. We are already looking to book our next one with RCL.
