YulzBorgia
Hey there, We will be traveling on the Libery of the Sea in Feburary. There is one port that is rasing many questions amongst us and our friends. Labadee, Haiti Has anyone recently had this as a port of call? Recommend leaving the ship? Do you know what is really going on with the port and all? Please let me know. Thanks :))
sailingrose
Labadee is Royal Caribbeans private Island. It has palm trees, beaches, clean ocean. There is a BBQ lunch served there too. RCI runs all the shore excursions so they are safe. They have a roller coaster and a zip line as well as water sports. There are Haitian markets to buy from if you choose to do so but you can just avoid that area if you choose. It is a nice beach day.

Dan
Just back from Labadee a couple weeks ago. No "Haiti issues" at all there. The food and drink all comes from the ship, all the activies are up and running. It's far removed from where the earthquake hit, and I think the cholera outbreak is more in the earthquake zone as well. Lots of great activities if you want to participate, and lots of open beach (several beaches actually), if you want to lay back and bake. Have fun.
