Orrymain
One of the first things I learned on my first cruise is that they take pictures everywhere. I bought them all, too, so you know that was costly. It was just so exciting. I have to admit that they made a big oops, though, which I still bemoan. It got me a lot of free photos on my second cruise though. Ever buy these pictures or have problems like I did?
rogue
We still buy one or two per cruise. I have to admit that the more expensive they get, the less we buy. The cruiselines can't be making much more money as they raise their prices.
sailingrose
I don't buy as many picutures as I used to. They are getting pretty costly.
DebbieandJerry
We don't buy them at all. We have gotten to the point where we tell the photographer not to bother taking our picture because it would be a waste of film. Lots of times we will 'stage our own' formal portraits. I realize that photos is one area where the ship makes money. However, when you consider how much they have gone up in cost - no way. Use to be that we would buy the ships photos of the ship. They would always be under $15. Not anymore. Carnival wanted over $25 for 9 prints of the ship. Didn't buy them.
jobowl
We don't buy them anymore. We don't even let them take our pictures either. Not worth it.
coloradocruisers
We buy them, but not as many as we used too. The best way to cut down is just take them all on one night, and skip the rest.
Orrymain
Oh wow! They have really gone up in price, which I shouldn't be surprised at. That's too bad.
DebbieandJerry
I can't remember how expensive, but enough for us to notice. I also thought about this last night. Previous cruises there were "ads" in the Caper paper about photos and some discounts if you bought in quantities, etc. None on our November cruise. Carnival did offer Xmas sittings, postcards and portraits. I remember the postcards as being a small quantity for a big price.
cruisetarp
After a while you forget which pictures were taken on which ship. We rarely buy them anymore.
hazelson
Yep - fewer each cruise - unless they make me look skinny lol
