Jewel of the Seas out of Tampa

I am very excited that the Jewel of the Seas will be sailing out of Tampa from November this year. She will be doing 4 and 5 day cruises to Mexico and replacing the Radiance of the Seas. Who plans on sailing on her while she is in Tampa?

Jerry and I really enjoyed Tampa when we sailed Carnival Sensation October 2001. I will have to look in to this. Thanks for the posting.

I would not travel from Pa. to Tampa for a 5 day cruise but if we were in Fl anyway I would definately consider it.

K & R and MaryLou - we met quite a few people who did the Radiance B2B. I think this is definitely the way to go .... do a back to back!!!!!

If the 4 and 5 day cruises went to different ports I would definately do a B2B but to turn around just to go back to Cozumel isn't very appealing.

I hear you MaryLou. I know to a lot of people the destinations are VERY important. While they are important to us too, we prefer the onboard experience. Quite honestly I wouldn't mind if the ship went around in circles ... so long as the entertainment onboard is good, we keep ourselves VERY busy.

Jackie we did it B2B on Radiance and everything was exactly the same except 1 dinner menu. It was interesting to be on the ship for the turn around but don't think we would do it again since the entertainment and all the activities are the same.

I guess if we really needed the rest it would be a possibility.

I checked on the RCI website and they have a 4 day cruise Dec 29, and a 5 day cruise Jan 02. Since we like to cruise for NYE, this would be a possibility.

since Rita is no longer fond of Mexico, we would probably just stay aboard.
