DebbieandJerry
I'm thinking of March 2012 - Caribbean. It's not Easter. The first week of March usually is NOT spring break. Yet the cruise prices are nearly double for a 7 or 8 day out of Miami or Ft Lauderdale. I always thought "peak" time was Xmas to March. The weeks in Jan and Feb are actually hundreds of dollars cheaper than this first week of March 2012.. Might mean - find a different week. Any thoughts out there? jobowl
Are u looking at RCCL like the Allure or Oasis? They are pricey. Carnival is a lot better price. Not sure why Prices are holding high that week. Maybe they will drop if you wait awhile before booking. Who Knows. Good Luck on your search. zebra
It was the same this year, it's because Spring Break happens at various stages dependant on which State, also whether it is college or school. We cruised on the 21st Feb this year and already had a half a ship full of Spring Breakers!!!! I would cruise mid February if you can ..... much cheaper. rogue
It's still spring break for someone, and the cruiselines know it.. I found that the prices don't start to drop until April to mid may when they start to rise again.
DebbieandJerry
I had no idea that spring break would be so early. Thanks for the input. I truly was amazed at the prices. Gonna rethink to April. Thanks for the input
