cruisetarp
Do you use the gym while on the ship? Do you use it every day? Maybe on our next cruise I will use it. I've been saying that for a few years now.
scalise12
Yes we do, I use it for the tread mill, I must keep up my walking, I even walk the ship a lot!! scalise1`
KeithnRita
We use the treadmill when the weather prevents us from walking.
rogue
We usually go into the gym the first of the cruise and marvel at the view from the treadmill. We have great intentions, but rarely (read that as never) use them. Usually too tired from walking to some meal.
DebbieandJerry
I usually lift 2-3 times a week at home and try to keep that schedule as well on the ship. If I don't get to the gym, it's okay. Use to be that I would sign up for every class and take them. Sometimes that meant getting up at 6:30am for the "morning walk" with the group and then the classes after. Now that ships are charging for their "specialty" classes, I don't sign up anymore. I have given them a try, but they are not worth the money. Did take the 30 min "free" stretch class on our last cruise. Teacher was 10 min late. Did about 15 min of stretching, and said, "good job, that's it". I make a point of walking around the perimeter of the ship (to equal a mile) at least 3 times a day (to get 3 miles in total). Really helps get rid of that bloated feeling right after eating! I am learning that I don't have to keep my exercise regime while on vacation. It's hard, but I am learning!
sailingrose
I did use the gym when I was doing to PT for my back but I don't do it regularly. I do however try to walk at least 1 mile a day on the walking track as well as the regular walking around the ship I do.

Mmketeer
Yes! My goal on a 3-4 cruise is to step into the gyn and work out at least once during my cruise. Course' I always take the stairs and swim, bike, walk etc. and try to be as active as possible on my cruises. If the food is really good though, it never fails I'll gain at least 3-5 pounds everytime. :( I am still working off those last frew pounds from my Disney Dream cruise 60 days ago. And yes I made it to the gym at least once. LOL! Edited June 19, 2011 by Mmketeer
GottaCruz
When we sailed Carnival, we used the gym every day but it was tremendously crowded and sometimes had to wait for a treadmill. Since we switched to RC, we don't use the gym- instead we do our walking on the Promenade deck, which we enjoy much more, since we canj walk completely around and we're outside, half of the circle in the shade from the lifeboats.
