cruisetarp
Do you tend to cruise on only one line or do you look for the best deal regarless of which line offers it. We had tended to sail on one line but recently have branched out to try others. Some have been great cruises (Princess & Celebrity) and we will definately sail them again. Others were a one shot deal and we won't be returning (NCL)
rogue
We tend to sail on different lines, but have sailed on Princess more than others. We've managed to get to the Platinum level of their loyalty program.

scalise12
CRUISETARP, Our past cruises on NCL Sky 2 x Oct 2009, Dec 2009, again on NCL Sun Dec 2010 and this past Feb on NCL Pride of America On our first trip on the Sky, our cabin steward stole personal items from us and security and customer service didn't do any thing to correct the problem, instead the crew treated like dirt after wards, but when your camera and binoculars are missing and we had our receipt from our last port call, we even wrote a letter to NCL and they never replied. And the food has really gotten bad buffet and dining room. The next trip on NCL Sky, The crew was plain out being rude to the passengers. service was really bad in the buffet area and the main dining room service was so terrible at times we just went and ate at the buffet, the waiters where slow and orders where wrong, just no service. On the Ncl Sun, The propeller shaft blew on the starboard side and for hours we were crawling and the Captain and Cruise Director was silent no one made a announcement on what was happening. After awhile the Captain finally came out told his passengers what had happen. He also mention he was in touch with HQ well that's when Sh__, hit the fan HQ rerouted us from going to St. Thomas & St. Marten and sent us to Samana and their UN lovely private Island, this was to best yet, two things no free any thing on board the ship and no ship credits or any of our monies reduced, after awhile I found out that NCL HQ new of the problem before we left Port Canaveral. Just before we got back safe and sound the Captain put out a letter to all passengers how sorry the for all the troubles and the letter states per HQ that a 30% discount to our next booking will be applied. So spanks and I booked this Nov cruise from Tampa and we got shafted again our vacation planner at NCL couldn't Honor the 30% discount, OK, That's was the last straw we cash in all of our cruise reward for this cruise in Nov and promise each other NO MORE NCL FOR AWHILE till they remember it take customer service to keep passengers coming back. NCL seems to forgot over the years that it takes us consumers money to run a Cruise Line!!! On the NCL Pride of America in Hawaii, I wrote a review on this Cruise (check the review out) The review is called Hawaii. The crew was and the food was so bad, this time I took a lot of notes and crew names down, and when we got back home, I wrote a 3 page letter to Kevin Sheehan CEO of NCL and just blasted the crew and customer service. We actually received a letter back from Mr. Sheehan, But with our last 4 cruise's on NCL the letter really wasn't good enough, so Spanky and I diverted our monies to Princess, Holland America & Carnival and will not book on NCL till they really realize how to treat their guest and improve the quality of Service and FOOD!! I know what word of mouth can do to a place of business, working with the Airlines for 25 yrs, I seen it first hand!! And it's just plane no customer service and being on a set income we do our best with the money we have and so to us Good Food and Service means a lot, when you shell out $2,000.00 to $3,000.00 or more for a Cruise, Flights, Gas for Car and Hotels. To us with NCL, NCL has become 2 Cruise Lines in 1 There's NCL and Than there is NCL EPIC.. We don't care who reads this answer, Just remember this is how Spanky and I feel. about NCL!!! cruisetarp
John - I appreciate your honesty and although we have only had 2 cruises on NCL we will not have a 3rd for some of the reasons you stated and some others as well. That being said we have had Crazies come back and rave about their NCL cruise. I guess that is why there are many different cruise lines for many different people
scalise12
Marylou, Yes we agree on your statement, (Different Strokes for Different Folks)!! I guess I really sounded off on NCL, my blood starts to boil about NCL! scalise12
sailingrose
I tend to stick to RCI because I've made a lot of crew friends through the years but I'll also sail on Princess and Celebrity. John sorry you had such a crummy experience on NCL. I wanted to try them too until Marylou came back and told us about her experience, that put an end to it. I feel the same way about Carnival they you feel about NCL. 2 really bad experiences were more then enough for us. I know many others like you love them but lack of customer care, and poor communications put an end to sailing them.
hazelson
We prefer Carnival but twice Princess has made us offers we could not refuse!
coloradocruisers
We're not tied to brand, but we haven't cruised as much as many CC members. We'll probably go back to RCI next.
