parking in NYC

Hi, we are traveling out of NYC in August. We will be driving up to NJ the night before departure. Does anyone have cheap ideas on where to leave our car? $210 is the port parking charge...can we ride a train directly to the port from NJ? or a van/limo?

What do you do?

My Partner is from NYC and she just told me that their is no train to the port in NJ, a limo/van is good, and maybe if you are staying In a hotel the night before ask the hotel if they have cruise parking, A lot of hotels in port cities do offer this, In Florida we have left our car at the hotel....

Unfortunately there is nowhere near the pier to park long term. Your only option would be to find a hotel with a park and shuttle service but I don't know of any that will take you from NJ into NY.

Sorry to say as far as I know Mary Lou is right. You are better off to park at port and pay the high rate. We have sailed out of NY. many times and have always found that port parking was our best option.
