Travel Insurance.....Yes or No?

Do you take out travel insurance? We consider the cost of the insurance well worth the peace of mind. We just consider it part of the price of cruising and wouldn't leave home without it.

The Connie cruisers saw what a nasty eye infection I got on that trip and the insurance paid every bit of the medical/medicine bill.

Yes, we buy the insurance. We have older parents and anything can happen.

We always buy insurance. My recent health problems show why we do it. People of a certain age should never play roulette with their vacation.

In the beginning, we never purchased insurance. Then a dear friend said, "Can you really afford to walk away from that amount of money?" From that point forward (which was probably trip #3), we have always purchased it.

However, we shop around. Not all TA and/or ship insurance is the same, costs the same, or provides the same coverage.

The pre-existing clause is huge for us. We are not getting any younger and neither are our family members.

We always get insurance and the older we get the more expensive it is.
