CruiseNews
Ticket to Travel has announced the Wine Makers Cruise III on a Holland America (www.hollandamerica.com) cruise that departs Fort Lauderdale on Nov. 13. The themed Caribbean cruise will feature seminars, private events and special amenities for the group, which will consist of 100 guests. The sailing will feature a selection of wine from three different wineries -- Black Mesa Winery (www.blackmesawinery.com) of New Mexico, James Arthur Vineyards (www.jamesarthurvineyards.com) of Nebraska and Cap*Rock Winery (www.caprockwinery.com) of Texas. For pre-cruise hotel guests, there will also be a “Port Fort Lauderdale” tasting. Hosted by guest Chef Jacques Campbell, the pre-cruise tasting will pair wine with cheese and chocolate. Additional cruise highlights include wine pairing ideas and culinary suggestions from the islands by Campbell, sessions that will allow guests to get to know the winemakers and each other, wine tastings in the onboard Culinary Arts Center, and a lunch with wine pairings in the Pinnacle Grill.
