Stivo
the lido buffet is OK. Specialty restaurants are a great option to celebrate, though!
ametrinel
We like the early seating. Never tried the table for two. How do you arrange that? We've always been stuck with people that grunt at us instead of carry on a conversation.
Summerfun4me
Did early dining in the past. Once we had another couple at the table with us 4. Then once we had a table for just us 4. This time we will have 10 in the group so the table will be full. It will be late dining because we don't want to rush after the ports to get showered and dress for dinner. Hope the late dining is okay. Don't know I guess until we try it. . Edited June 6, 2012 by Summerfun4me
WeCruiseToo
We prefer late seating, fixed dining – it’s great to have the same server every night so they know what you like. We ask for a large table and usually have good luck meeting new people.
downtime
We always opt for the late seating, this wat we don't have to rush to get ready for dinner. We still dress for dinner so we need a little time. We also have one or two dinners in the specialty restaurants, we love the ambiance, menu and great service. Ayrai
I prefer late dining simply because you have a little more time to recover from being on the islands before dinner :) I can relax and shower and get ready. And I have heard you can attempt to reserve seating for two, though I have never tried it. I was told you can ask the maitre d' when you board if they can arrange seating for you. I don't know how promising this method is. If you you are going with other people you can call the cruise lines ahead of time(at least for carnival) and give them everyones booking number and ask them to link up your dining. Hope this helps :0) Cheers
ChrisMorgan
We prefer early dining and usually as large a table as we can get so we can meet people. We enjoy learning about our table mates and alot of times, we spend time with them outside the dining room go to the show together, meet for lunch hangout in the casino. We did a small table one time it was very uncomfortable we spent alot of effort trying to create conversations, the more people at the table the more likely we will find some compatible people.
