Transitting the Canal was amazing. I basically went because DH Jim wanted to see it and I thought I'd watch for a few minutes and then go read a book or go to the pool. I stood there watching for the entire time. We are hoping to go again next Feb.

Yes we have and it was worth all the time that it took. We got a narrated tour and learned a lot. Plenty of time to take pictures.

The one thing that stands out in my mind was an elderly lady who must have been wearing all of her worldly possessions. This woman could barely move with the coat and overcoat that she had on. Mind you, she was not cold. We were in shorts and tank-tops. I think she thought that if something bad was going to happen, she would not have to return to her room. She'd have everything with her! I'm sure I have a picture of her somewhere in my books.

I do remember that you will get spot rain in Panama. It's not a cold rain. It just comes unexpected and leaves unexpected!

We did not have much time to do much of anything else when we were there. Yes, I'd like to return!

Yes we have done it twice - totally awesome. The most amazing engineering feat. I would highly recommend it.
