gogetter
Hello, We went on the Legend a year ago. 2 things struck me as funny. I won't post a disclaimer as people here do not judge. 1.......They had a game in the Main Lobby....cornhole. I found that weird. Maybe on the Lido deck, promenade deck, sports deck, but right there smack dab in the middle of the Main Lobby. I find this weird. Isn't the main lobby a center of attention? To have a game like cornhole .....just doesn't fit....to me anyways.... 2.....I went to the bar at the main lobby and asked for a bucket of ice. They said they didn't have any buckets. HUH? No buckets, no nothing to put ice in? what if someone wanted a bucket of beer? They just stood there and didnt even try to go get a bucket. DebbieandJerry
I've seen games played in the main lobby when it's raining outside. I wonder if that's the only available place?!
gogetter
It wasn't raining, it was during the morning, afternoon or early evening at various times during the cruise.
scalise12
WE AGREE MAIN LOBBY IS CENTER OF ATTENTION & DOING BUSINESS UNLESS IT'S RAINY, THAT COOL OTHER WISE OUTSIDE ON THE LIDO DECK BY THE POOL

zebra
We were on the Legend and didn't see this activity in the main lobby but have seen equally as strange games played in lobbies on various cruise lines. Maybe wind was a factor?? I guess they tried to find a venue where there was enough room for contestants and spectators alike, who knows?? I have never thought to ask for a bucket of ice at a bar (maybe that's just me) - we always order our bucket of ice from room service. rogue
From talking to other people, I understand that this is not all that unusual with Carnival to utilize the Atrium of their ships for similar activities. I'm not sure what the problem is, though. Like anywhere else on the ship, if you don't like it, find another venue that you do like. Lots of things going on at all times. So because you didnt see this activity, it didnt happen? Do you know what cornhole is? 1-4 players throwing bean bags in to a hole on an inclined piece of board, maybe 20 feet apart? Wind wasnt a factor. Also, i wanted a bucket of ice to put the champagne in. I thought ..again, after too many years in the customer service world, if they didnt have it, maybe they could have gotten it? I mean buckets of beer are very popular on a cruise, right? I mean a bar, in the main lobby of a ship should have everything, right? Why would i order a bucket of ice from room service when i am in the lobby trying to enjoy champagne with my wife? (maybe that's just me) But thanks for the help, i guess....

As far as the bucket of ice goes, we've ordered it from room service and just have our cabin steward refill that bucket also
