Departing from the ship

I am going on a cruise in May. The ship is royal carribean freedom of the seas. I have a problem! My son booked our departing flight for 9am. the ship docks at 6. It is a 45 minute to 1 hour trip to the airport is this possible.

Doubtful that it will be possible. Usually, the first people will be allowed off no earlier than 8 am, but usually closer to 9 am. You can call RCCL and ask if there is any way to get off earlier. Good luck.

I just don't see how you can make that flight. I would change it if I were you.

We agree with the other posters--there is little or no chance of making that flight. We would contact the airline for a later flight.

We live an hours drive from Port Canaverall........I would change the flight. We usually are one of the 1st ones off the ship and we don't get home that quickly. It is possible to do but everything has to go exactly right, I wouldn't chance it.

I would give RCCL a call, but I think you are going to have to change this flight, especially if you need to check luggage! I have had close calls with flights that leave at 11:00.... I wouldn't want to spend my whole cruise worrying about it! :unsure:
