St. Lucia resort cancels day passes due to norovirus

Rendezvous resort in St. Lucia has notified guest holding day passes on our cruise (Celebrity Silhouette March 5th) that due to the high incidence of norovirus on cruise ships visiting St. Lucia they regret that they must cancel day passes for people booked at their resort.

That seems a little drastic, especially since the date is in March!

Sorry to hear that MaryLou. I know it must be very disappointing. Can you still arrange a different excursion?

That is a bit over the top. I guess that they think it will help, but all they need is one of their regular guests to have it and they too can have an outbreak. I hope you can arrainge another excursion, MaryLou.

I also think that's a little premature AND extreme....... I guess they think their own guests couldn't possibly harbor a virus - tut tut!

Well its their loss. BTW We had a great excursion in St. Lucia with a private guide and I can't say enough about him. I was so impressed I sent him some extra money after we got home. If you like I can provide you with his website.

I agree that it is their loss. We loved St Lucia. We did the catamaran sail and snorkel. The videographer from the ship was on it with us. We were "on the t.v." lots after that excursion
