coloradocruisers
 Larry, I think that was a question, not a request! I'll continue to cruise, just not on Costa! (At least until they get their act together!)
jacketwatch
Sorry. i thought it meant to stop talking about it. My error. So to answer no, I will not stop going though even B4 this Costa stuff I would never have considered them anyway. Too many bad reviews. Same for MSC too. DebbieandJerry
I was thinking about this yesterday. Airplanes are delayed all the time because of some faulty part or another. Passengers piss and moan about it, but usually end up getting to their final destination with little interruption. The cruise ship industry, is pretty much out there, in the middle of the ocean with no means to get the parts that they may need if they don't have them on the ship. So all in all, these few incidences are far less than airline delays. It's just that once the generator goes out on a ship, thousands are inconvenienced and lots of services are without provisions. But it hasn't stopped me from cruising.
zebra
Wow almost unbelievable - 2 Costa cruise problems back-to-back. After reading the last report this morning all I can say is that the passengers should take the 3 week vacation on the Seychelles from the Company. We have visited the Seychelles and stayed on the unique island of Praslin for 3 weeks ...... it's 1000's of miles from nowhere and totally spectacular. It will be a highlight of their lives after this dramatic, awful experience.

coloradocruisers
I heard about that offer too. I would definitely take advantage of that opportunity, and call it good. They also get reimbursed for the cruise, as I understand it.
zebra
Yes Costa offered that and as Kevin says a reimbursement for their cruise too. I think that was a pretty awesome offer.
ChrisMorgan
Wow poor Costa, We went on the mediterranea a few years ago, and had a wonderful experience. One of the best times we have had aboard a cruise ship. the shows and the food were more geared for an international audience, but the service and the people were all top notch. I dont think I can remember a time when we were treated better. If we could get a good deal from a ship porting out of the US again we wouldnt hesitate. BTW if you are italian or from an italian family. They treat you a bit extra special! Hope they can make a come back!
RayColey
As I recall it, Costa gave them a refund plus some bucks and a free cruise upcoming...
DebbieandJerry
The passenger were certainly able to make a bad thing turn good with that offer. Good for Costa!
