GottaCruz
Which takes priority when you book? For us it's the port. Since I don't fly, the ship has to be leaving from Ft. Lauderdale or Miami. Then, from there, it's all about the ship. At this point, we really don't care about the itinerary since we don't even get off the ship anymore. KeithnRita
It's the same for us, the port is first and then the ship. The itinerary doesn't matter much. Wish we had more ships at the ports we drive to!
CaliTraveler77
I think it's nearly a tie for us. We're big into the ports, so itinnerary is a big deal, but we'll compromise on that a little if it means sailing a better ship!
coloradocruisers
Itinerary. We still have alot of places to visit.
timecop
The itinerary is first priority with us.
cruisetarp
We really do both. Our next cruise is because of the port - we wanted to go back to Bermuda for our anniversary. Our last cruise on the Silhouette was because of the ship.
rogue
I think at this point, the itinerary wins out, but the ship does matter.
ametrinel
If my ship of choice isn't doing an itinerary I want, it goes to my itinerary of choice, providing I find an acceptable ship.
sailingrose
I guess it depends on what I really want. Sightseeing, excursions, or just a restful trip. If it's rest then the ship really matters more to me.
Gymbrat333
To me the most important factor is the best deal for a 7 day cruise. I live super close to The Port of Miami (45 minutes away)and Ft.Lauderdale(an hour away). The price for the 7 day cruises are super expensive during the summer this year so I will be sailing on the 6 day cruise on The Valor which is my favorite ship. I don't mind sailing to the same ports over and over. There is so much to do at each port. As long as I'm on a ship, I'm happy.
