Jason
With the breaking news of terrorist organization al Qaeda suggesting a plot to seize cruise ships (full story below), would this cause you to re-think your cruise vacation plans? If already booked, would you consider cancelling? If looking to book a cruise, would you postpone it temporarily? Cast your vote above and share your thoughts and comments below. KeithnRita
We voted no! Canceling a cruise would be letting the terrorist win.
RayColey
Not a chance! We won't be scared off by al Qaeda.
cruisetarp
After 9/11 we had a cruise booked for Oct. 3rd. I was very tempted to cancel at the time but a very dear friend who lost her husband that day said to me "then THEY win.!" We went and although it was a bit quieter than any other cruise we had been on we were very glad we went.
sailingrose
We too went on a cruise after 9/11 for my parents 50th Anniversary. Wouldn't have stopped us and a lot of our family had to fly from NY
AndiD
My younger daughter went on a Model UN trip with the team from her college right after 9/11. They started at the UN in New York then flew to China, then Japan, then home. There was much talk of cancelling the UN College Summit - there were teams coming from all over the world - but they decided to go ahead with it; my DD said the experience was amazing and that the events of 9/11 seemed to impress on all of them even more the need for strong global friendships....... I was nervous but they did fine! Of course, I probably would have been nervous even before 9/11.......that's what Moms are for!
ametrinel
I don't know that I can really say what I would do unless I was in the situation.
