This is my first cruise...Conquest July 2012...here is my concern~although I am traveling with a group of fantastic people through my company, most of them are bringing their husbands and/or families. I am a 33 single woman and am just wondering about how many, if any young singles go on this type of cruise. Also, are there any excursions, on~board activities etc. you could suggest to enhance my cruising experience as a single.

Funmoments, welcome aboard the CruiseCrazies ship! This being your first cruise, you are in you a treat! As far a single, you won't be alone. You will get a daily activities program delivered to your stateroom which will include singles get togethers. As far as excursion go, you will have many to choose from. It depends on what you like and your port of calls. Don't be shy, ask questions on this forum as there are plenty of knowledgeable members here to give you answers.

We will be on the Conquest for the Sept 16th cruise. It will be our first time on this ship. We have our cruise posted in the roll call forum. You can post yours there, as well. Just click 'Who's Cruising' in the 'Connect with Cruisers' section at the bottom of the forum page.

Welcome aboard Funmoments. How exciting your first cruise! Make sure you check the ships paper the 1st day, that is usually when the 1st singles meeting happens. I'm sure you will meet many others aboard. Sorry can't help with Carnival but if you give us a list of ports we could make some suggestions for you.

Thank you both so much for the help and infO. I we are porting in Belize, Cozumel and somewhere in Honduras, I think. I was old yesterday that I can wait till aboard the ship to book excursions. So I think on that end I'm going to wait and see what everybody else is doing. Thank y'all again :)

All cruise lines have a Port and Shopping talks for help with the basics. The Shore excursions videos should run on the tv in your cabin. I do suggest doing just a bit of research for each port prior to leaving so you have an idea if there are any must sees. You should also look at Carnival's website to get an idea of the cost of some of those excursions.

Please feel free to ask away and we'll help anyway we can.
