Hi - my name is Pam. My husband and I LOVE cruises - but can't afford to go as often as we'd like to! Our next cruise (hopefully) - will be to the Panama Canal some time in the new year. Preferably January or February. We are looking for the best deal - definitely want a balcony! We want at least two weeks (a bit longer would be awesome!) If anyone knows of a great deal - please let me know! My husband scans a few web sites regularly. We're from Niagara Falls, Canada. :) We usually fly out of Buffalo, NY - as it's the closest airport - and usually has cheaper flights! So far we've sailed with Norwegian and Princess and have been quite happy with both - but definitely willing to try a different line if we can get a better deal! (Providing of course it's a reputable line)

Just found this site. Not sure what it's about so far - but if it's about cruising - then it must be good!

You've come to the right place. I am fairly new to this site, and I have to say I've never met a nice bunch of people in a cruise community. We're just like you - people who love to cruise, just looking for information, answers to questions or just to chat. I know what you mean - I wish we could cruise more, but our budget and work responsibilities don't let us. For now, we shoot for one cruise per year. Since you have cruised with NCL and Princess, have you checked with them for past passenger rates? Looking forward to seeing you around here!

Welcome Pam - great that you joined us. We are a very friendly bunch of folks and will attempt to help any way we can. As Jan says you could possibly get past passenger rates on Princess and NCL (haven't personally cruised with them) - you might also like Royal Caribbean .... for us it's a toss up between Royal Caribbean and Princess. The only Panama cruises that I saw (with more than 7 days) were ones where you started in one city and ended in another.

We were on the Carnival Miracle and Panama was one of our ports. The Carnival ship didn't go down the canal, but we did take an excursion that did. Truly amazing! This was only an 8-day cruise, but we did it as a back to back so we really had a wonderful vacation.
