OK Cruise Crazies. I need your ideas.

Heading to Fort Lauderdale in Nov

Going in 2 days early and staying 2 days after our cruise.

Looking for 4* hotel on the beach with a pool for before the cruise.

and then a 4* for after the cruise but closer to the airport but not at the airport. I was thinking Pier 66. Pros and cons for all.

Thanks in advance.

PS For before the cruise it would be nice if there was like a Walgreens within walking distance as well as other dining options.

Check out my posting in this forum entitled Ft. Lauderdale Hotels! One in particular, The Atlantic just might suit your pre-cruise hotel on the beach. And it is within walking distance of restaurants, other hotels and a CVS drugstore. We found the Atlantic to be every bit a 4+ - 5 star hotel........great rooms, great restaurant, AND free internet in the rooms!! The beach is right across the street! We stayed two nights pre-cruise last February and will definitely return!

We have stayed at Pier 66 as well - nice hotel - nice pool, in particular....on the Intercontinental Waterway so you can use the water taxis to get to Las Olas Blvd. and the Riverwalk.
