I would try to consider your activities. Do you spend a lot of time at the pool? Then you'll use less clothes in the daytime.

I also use the ships laundry on longer cruises. Holland America has a bag of laundry for somewhere between $20 and $30 depending on the cruise and you'd be surprised how much you can fit in it. They also have unlimited laundry for about $8 a day. Good option as well if you want to pack light.
