A New Port for Us - Bonaire - Has anyone been there?

We are sailing on the Celebrity Eclipse next month - 14 nights southern Caribbean. One of our last stops is the island of Bonaire. It is part of the Netherlands Antilles, along with Curacao and Aruba. Has anyone experienced this island? If so, what would you recommend as far as sightseeing, etc.? We are not beach goers. Thanks!

Dream cruise come true. Haven't been to Bonaire. Did Aruba and Curacao in Sept. I'm guessing it's similar -- shopping and beaches. I don't recall any info about Bonaire in my Islands or Caribbean magazines. But if I come across any, I'll be sure to post.

Can't wait to hear about this 14 night Souther Caribbean. And Celebrity. Can't beat any of it!!!!

Thanks Debbie! We've been to Aruba and Curacao too. I can't find much on Bonaire either. I'm thinking it must be a fairly new port-of-call.

We haven’t been to Bonaire either Debbie – it’s not on a lot of itineraries – but we love the excitement of visiting a new port! Have a great cruise!

Debbie - that's one island we haven't been to either. The cruise lines have been going there for years on their Southern Caribbean itineraries - just doesn't seem to occur too often. Enjoy .... not too long before you leave.
