WeCruiseToo
The Radiance-class are our favorite Royal Caribbean ships – they’re the perfect balance of size and amenities for us. You’ll love it! Sarge6870
GottaCruz
Welcome back, Michael and Amy. Glad you had a great cruise. Is the Majesty of the Seas in that Fantasty class? Just wondering since we sail the Majesty in the summertime when we can't sail the Liberty of the Seas , since she's in the Mediterranean that time of the year. WeCruiseToo
Hi Cheryl! Carnival’s eight Fantasy class ships were built between 1990 and 1998 and have a gross tonnage of 70,367 each. These are the smallest ships currently in use by Carnival Cruise Lines. Majesty of the Seas, part of Royal Caribbean’s Sovereign class, was built in 1992 and has a gross tonnage of 74,077 – so she is similar to the ships of Carnival’s Fantasy class. For comparison, Liberty of the Seas, part of Royal Caribbean’s Freedom class, was built in 2007 and has a gross tonnage of 154,407 – more than twice that of Majesty of the Seas! (It’s so cool that you have a “summer ship” and a “winter ship”! Kind of like the snowbirds that come to Florida, but so much better! )
